How to play
- Board, pieces and deal are as in basic Jackaroo: four pieces each, four cards dealt every time, and play passes to the left.
- An Ace or a King brings a piece from home onto its base. A piece on its own base cannot be passed or sent home.
- In Complex, the King brings a piece out, or moves 13, sending home every piece it passes, and it can pass two pieces side by side.
- The Five moves any piece on the track 5 steps, even an opponent's, except a piece on its own base, which only its owner may move with a Five.
- The other cards work as in basic: Ace 1 or 11, Queen 12, Jack swaps two pieces, Ten 10, Seven 7, split between two pieces, Four moves 4 back.
- Landing on a piece sends it home, even your partner's. You enter the lane with an exact count, and if you cannot move, you burn a card.
- The table options add one more rule: the Ten moves 10, or burns a card from the next player.
Scoring and winning
- Jackaroo has no points: the first team to get all eight pieces into the lane wins.
- Once all your pieces are in, you play your partner's, so you stay in the race.
