Accounts and playing as a guest
Do I need an account to play?
You need no account to play with bots or to take the daily challenge. Playing with your friends and with online players needs a free account: your email and a password, with the email confirmed by a six-digit code we send to it.
What is the difference between a guest and an account?
A guest record is kept on your device only, and can be lost if you clear your browser data or delete the app. With an account, your record, level, badges, rating and friends stay with you on any device you sign in on. When you sign in on a device you played on as a guest, your account's record replaces the guest record.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Choose Sign in, then Forgot password. We send a six-digit code to your email that expires after ten minutes, and you choose a new password. We will never ask for your password in a message.
Is it free?
Yes. Playing is free, with no betting and no prizes, and there are no purchases in the service at the moment. Points, levels and badges have no cash value.
Levels and badges
How do I level up?
Every game you play with other people online adds to your XP, and a win adds more. When your XP reaches the next level you move up, and your level shows on your profile.
What are badges and how do I earn them?
Kroooot has 64 badges in 16 families, each with four tiers: bronze, silver, gold and emerald. They come from your online record: your level, your wins in each game, your games and wins overall, how many different games you have played, and your places in leaderboard seasons. A badge you earn stays yours, and the badges page in the game shows them all and what each one still needs.
Leaderboard and seasons
How is my rating worked out?
Only public games count, the ones you start from Quick match. Each game has its own rating, a number that estimates your strength and rises more when you beat stronger players. Games at private tables with your friends are not rated.
What are seasons and who appears on the leaderboard?
A season is a whole month, and each game has its own leaderboard. You join a season after five public games in it. Any visitor can see the top fifty on the leaderboard page, and a button there hides your name. The leaderboard also has a weekly race, led by the most wins in public games, open to anyone with at least three games, which ends when Saturday ends, Mecca time. The top three of each game's season get a medal that stays on their profile.
Friends and private tables
How do I play with my friends?
Create a private table, then send its link to your friends or show them its QR code, and each of you picks a seat. Everyone who sits at the table needs an account.
How do I add a friend?
Send a friend request to someone you played with at a table, or give people you know your friend code. Once one of you accepts, you can both see when the other is online, and either of you can invite the other to a table.
What are sessions?
A session is a regular set of friends with its own leaderboard, which adds up your games at its tables, and a date for your next game night that members answer with yes or no. Anyone with the session's link can join.
Voice chat and bots
How does voice chat work?
Voice chat is available at private tables once you allow the microphone. Voice goes directly between the players' devices, and we never record or store it. Because the connection is direct, the others at the table can see your device's IP address. Voice is optional: you can mute yourself or play without it.
What are bots?
Players run by the program. You can play with them at any time with no account, and they are clearly marked. In Quick match, if nobody else joins, bots take the empty seats. If a player leaves an online table, a bot plays for them.
Reporting and fairness
How do I report or block a player?
From the table you played at, choose Report and pick a reason: deliberately spoiling the game, an offensive name, cheating, or something else. Our team usually reviews reports within seven days, and may warn, restrict or delete the account. You can also block the player, so they cannot invite you, send you a friend request or see when you are online.
Is the deal fair?
At online tables the server shuffles the cards and tiles. After a game ends, anyone with the table link can request its moves and shuffle seeds and check the fairness of the deal for themselves.
Deleting your account and contact
How do I delete my account and record?
Open More or Settings in the game, choose Delete account, and confirm twice. You can also delete it from the account deletion page, or write to contact@dirwaas.com. Your game record, rating and friends list are deleted, and deletion cannot be undone. An account is also deleted after a year without play.
How do I contact you?
Write to contact@dirwaas.com with any question, problem or request about your data. We do not offer phone support.
