How to play
- Two to four players, each for themselves, with four pieces in a base. You choose the number of players in the game's options.
- On your turn roll the die, then move one piece that many squares. Pieces go round the board clockwise, then up their own colour's column to home.
- A piece leaves its base only on a six, onto its coloured start square.
- A six gives you another roll; a third six in a row ends your turn with no move.
- Land on a square holding a single opponent piece and you take it: it goes back to its base. The eight squares marked with a star, start squares included, are safe: no piece is taken there.
- Two pieces of one colour on a square make a block: only their owner may stop there, though anyone may pass it.
Reaching home and winning
- Home needs the exact number: a roll that overshoots cannot move that piece.
- If no piece can move, the turn passes.
- The first player to bring all four pieces home wins, and the game ends. In the short game (one round) everyone starts with one piece out of base, and the first piece home wins.
