How to play
- A board from 1 to 100 with nine ladders and ten snakes in fixed places. Pieces start off the board, and the first player is drawn at random.
- On your turn you roll the die and move that many squares.
- Land at the foot of a ladder and you climb to its top; land on a snake's head and you slide down to its tail.
- A six gives you another roll.
- Several pieces may share a square; nothing is captured.
Reaching 100 and winning
- Square 100 needs the exact count: a roll that goes past bounces back by the excess, and a snake where you land still bites.
- The first to reach square 100 wins, and the game ends.
