How to play
- Four cards go face up on the floor and each player gets four. Whenever the hands are empty, four more are dealt to each player until the stock runs out; nothing more goes to the floor. With four players, partners sit opposite.
- On your turn you play one card. A card that can take always takes when you play it; you may lay a card that takes nothing on the floor, even when another card in your hand could take.
- A number card (ace as 1, then 2 to 10) takes a group of floor number cards that adds up to 11 with it: a 6 takes a 2 and a 3, an ace takes a 2, a 3 and a 5. If several groups fit, you choose one.
- A queen takes only one other queen and a king only one other king; they never count towards 11.
- The jack (the oghlan) takes every floor card except queens and kings. On an empty floor, or one with only queens and kings, it stays there.
- When all 52 cards have been played, whatever is left on the floor goes to the last player to take.
Scoring and winning
- Each round gives 5 points: 2 for taking 27 cards or more, 1 for the 2 of clubs, 1 for the 10 of diamonds and 1 for more clubs. At 26 cards each, the 2 points go to nobody.
- The first to 21 points wins, or 11 if you choose it. If both sides reach the target in the same round, the side that scored more that round wins.
