How to play
- The Spanish pack has 40 cards: 1 to 7, then 10, 11 and 12, with no 8 or 9, and suits never matter. In a sequence, 10 follows 7.
- Three cards each and four face up on the floor, all of different ranks. Whenever the hands are empty, three more are dealt.
- A card matching a floor card takes it and every card above it in unbroken sequence: a 6 on 1, 6, 7, 10, 12 takes 6, 7 and 10, and the 12 stays because 11 is missing. A card that can take must take.
- A card with no twin on the floor stays there.
- When the stock is out and the last card is played, the floor goes to the last player to take.
Bonuses and winning
- Bwahad (1): taking the card the previous player just played with its twin. Bkhamsa (5): the next player answers at once with the third of that rank. Bachra (10): the next player then plays the fourth.
- Missa (1): a take that leaves the floor empty.
- The dealer's last card of the hand: a 12 that takes gives the dealer's side 5; a 1, or a card that takes nothing, gives the other side 5.
- One point per card taken plus the bonuses. The higher total after one hand wins; a tie plays another hand.
