How to play
- A double-six set of 28 tiles, seven tiles each. With two players 14 stay in the bank; with four, none are left.
- In the first round the holder of the highest double opens with it; later rounds are opened by the previous round's winner with any tile.
- Place a tile on a matching open end. You must play if you can.
- The round's first double is the spinner: once tiles lie on both its sides its other two faces open, and play goes four ways.
- If you cannot play, draw from the bank up to three times; play a drawn tile that fits, otherwise pass.
Scoring and winning
- After each tile the open ends are added up; a multiple of 5 scores at once. A double at an end counts both halves.
- The first to play out scores the pips left in the opponents' hands, rounded to the nearest 5.
- In a blocked round the lowest hand scores the difference between its pips and the opponents', rounded to the nearest 5.
- The first to 150 points, or 250 if chosen before play, wins, even in the middle of a round.
